Unitrans expands operations in Swaziland

Unitrans Africa is pleased to announce the expansion of the current Swaziland operations enlisting new work from an existing customer, AfriSam. AfriSam has been one of Unitrans’ key blue chip clients since 1999, operating under a joint venture called Klipstone Transport. AfriSam is well known as one of the market leaders in the South African construction materials and cement industry. Through the successful existing relationship already in place, Unitrans was approached to tender for the transportation of raw material from South Africa to Swaziland, as well as the local distribution of AfriSam’s bag and bulk cement within Swaziland.
Transportation fleet includes:
• Seven bulk tanker combinations transporting raw materials from South Africa to Swaziland
• One bulk tanker transporting local bulk cement within Swaziland
• One semi flat deck combination transporting local bag cement within Swaziland Southern Star secures Afrisam contract
• Four semi flat deck combinations with Moffets transporting local bag cement within Swaziland

The go-live date for this project is set for January 2018.
The awarding of this contract will serve to further cement our footprint within the industry.
