Graduate & Learnership Programme Opportunities
We are proud to invest in the continuous development of skills to enhance employees’ performance and improve the employability of our youth. Unitrans Owner Driver Programme
The Unitrans Owner Driver Programme offers qualified drivers the guidance and development needed to become an entrepreneur. This programme helps drivers with the dream of owning their own truck, the opportunity to build up capital over a 5 to 6-year period.
Unitrans assists individuals who meet the requirements with the finance application, the setup of a trust as well as access to a bookkeeper to help manage their finances.
This programme is fully operated and controlled by Unitrans and allows the driver access to in-house services offered such as workshop facilities, diesel, access to breakdown services and authorised sleep stops and more.
The owner-driver programme is currently only available in South Africa
Requirements:
- A clear credit record
- Clear Criminal record
- Good driving record with no previous accidents on file
- A valid ultra heavy driver’s license
- At least five or more years of linehaul (transportation experience. *Note: relevant assessments will be conducted inclusive of practical driving, but not limited thereto
- Dedication, a good business sense & customer relations experience
